Research interests

  • To develop pro-resolving mediators (compounds that dampen the inflammatory reaction to avoid chronicity, in opposition to anti-inflammatory drugs that completely block the inflammatory reaction) for the treatment of acute and chronic muscle injuries.
  • To understand the defects in muscle regeneration observed in muscle pathologies such as Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
  • To analyze muscle function and the effects of different treatments in patients suffering of muscle atrophy caused by a related condition (ex: cancers, chronic cardiac or pulmonary diseases, ageing).
