The mission of the baccalaureate-master’s continuum program in occupational therapy is to train generalist and versatile occupational therapists, keen to meet the needs of a diverse clientele by promoting the benefits of occupation and an environment favorable to individual health. The programs provide learning and skills application opportunities to the student community, in order to train occupational therapists responsible for their development and capable of social engagement throughout their career. Training emphasizes the consolidation of essential knowledge through the application of professional skills in an interdisciplinary clinical context.
For practicing occupational therapists who wish to improve their knowledge, several training programs are offered:
- The professional master’s degree in occupational therapy is intended for practising occupational therapists. It is meant to deepen and integrate knowledge as well as to further the development of attitudes and competencies relating to the requirements of the practice and to current and future professional responsibilities.
- The Diploma of Advanced Professional Studies (D.E.P.A) in occupational therapy aims to train professionals capable of exercising strategic leadership, both in the advancement of knowledge and in the renewal of practices, based on a critical analysis of convincing results and the best occupational therapy practices.
- The continuing education program in occupational therapy is intended for preceptors and practising occupational therapists who wish to perfect their knowledge in the field of occupational therapy.
